                        Basic TaeKwonDo Stances

Stances are practiced in forms and class for many different reasons.  The more you practice them the correct way, the better appreciation that you will have for them.

Stances are not performed in real combat situations.  They should be over exaggerated while practicing.  This will help strengthen the muscles around the joints for better stability and safety while working the right muscle groups needed to develop your TKD skills.
